For a very early reader, you can turn your whole house into a reading lesson. Make labels for everything your child sees: door, wall, sofa, light switch, etc. Hang the labels by the items and have the kids read the words as they see them.
Information:
Field Trip
Thank you for sending back the field trip forms. The chaperones that will be going are the parents of: Justice, Breaker, Kaden, Miles, and Ananyah. You will be given a small group to be in charge of on this day. If you signed up by mistake, or realized you cannot make it now, please let me know. It is very important that I have enough chaperones for this trip. Small groups are a must. Thank you!
100th Day
January 29th is the current 100th day of school. Our team will be having our students dress up as “100 year olds” on this day. Be thinking about how you can put an outfit, etc. together for this day. Pictures will be taken! Also, please see the attached note regarding things that will be needed from your child for this fun day. I will be sending home a paper copy as well. Thank you in advance!
Ask Your Child About:
* What is ten more and ten less than 63? 47?
* What is a verb? What inflectional endings do you add to verbs to usually put them in the past or present tense? How do you put them in the future? EX: jump
* Look up our Hunks and Chunks video on YouTube. How do you remember what some “chunks” sound like?
* How is Hunter’s Money Jar similar to The Winners’ Choice?
* Describe Martin Luther King, Jr. What was his dream?
* How did we make the glittery snowflake in STEAM group this week?
